Budh Baridh™ Limited was established in the United Kingdom by Jagdeep Singh in 2021 under the auspices of Gurdev Nidar Singh Nihang, the 9th Gurdev (grandmaster) of the Baba Darbara Singh Akhara™. In 1661, the same year of Guru Gobind Singh’s birth, this Akhara was established by the 2nd Jathedar (supreme head) of the Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa Buddha Dal (the foremost martial order of the Sikhs) named Akali Nihang Baba Darbara Singh (1645-1735).
Sadly today, Sanatan Shastar Vidiya™ is only taught in the Baba Darbara Singh Akhara™; it is not found anywhere else in the world.
The sole purpose of the organisation is to promote Sanatan Shastar Vidiya™ globally and ensure the complete preservation of the art and its associated traditions for all time.
Budh Baridh™ translates as “Ocean of Wisdom”.
