Who is Global Employment Challenge

Building a better world, one job at a time. In Africa, youth unemployment is a pressing issue affecting millions. To address this problem effectively, a coordinated and comprehensive approach involving multiple stakeholders, including governments, businesses, and non-profit organisations, required considered and effective job training programs, apprenticeships, internships, and targeted employment policies to help young people enter the workforce and build successful careers. Our research established that real-life, hands-on industry experience is the most valuable way for graduates to obtain meaningful career-related employment. We also found that graduates needed training to be employable, interact with peers, and learn in a commercial environment. So we created a 10-month training program that could do all that and called it the Global Employment Challenge. We aim to place 10 million African tertiary-qualified graduates into jobs with international companies by 2035. And with your help, we can do it.
