Building on 14 years experience as a teacher and tutor, plus commercial experience prior to that, my passion is to create and build a centre of tutoring excellence with an international reputation. I’m determined that the network will deliver an exemplary service. I’ve designed the operational systems to achieve this, and recruited and trained office staff. High quality tutors are essential to delivery, and I’ve selected, engaged and support over 60 tutors for the Wiltshire, Somerset and online teams since 2017. My focus and priority from 2020 is to extend The Tutor Team to selected locations across the UK and internationally and raise awareness with our target audiences, which are: • Tutors – who are able to deliver expert academic tutoring for UK and international students, • Parents – who are looking for reassurance of tutor qualifications, vetting, standards, and of course, results, • Students – who are engaged and motivated and who value personalised learning. On the horizon I’m also aware of the potential for: • Partnerships in the UK and internationally, • Lobbying to raise education standards. My early career was in customer service then management. After a break for family I restarted my career with a Degree, Masters and then PHD at Oxford. Completing this was perhaps my biggest achievement, family aside.
