Today, I am involved in integrating new business, initiating vertical integration, developing disruptive organization, driving responsible sourcing, digitalizing transactional tasks... What I have learned, did and coached is that a company, an organization, a team is driven by a purpose that makes sense for the community. That well-being, self-expression, progress, potential, fairness, are critical for the company’s success; because the people are core to the project. As an individual, as a leader, I believe in creating a vision, delivering clear communication, hiring people with complementary views, empowering them, taking calculated risks, encouraging respect, integrity, curiosity and courage, embracing failure and accepting the truth. When time comes for reflection, I often watched the speech delivered by Steve Jobs to Sanford University graduates. He opens with : “Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it. No big deal. The first story is about connecting the dot. The second story is about love and loss. The third story is about death.” His conclusion is all about horizon and perspective, a compass to life : "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish."
