As a computational neuroscientist, I am curious about exploring the origins of intelligence. I believe computational neuroscience provides a way toward quantitative understanding of the mystery of intelligence. My current research aims at designing machine learning methods for mapping the cortical connectivity using optical microscopy images. I like to think about fundamental theories of energy and information and how they govern the evolution of the universe. I am interested in how technologies affect human lives, especially in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. In the same way that the industrial revolution changed the way humans use energy, the ongoing information revolution is changing the way we deal with information, and therefore the way we live. Aside from my work, I like to sketch, swim, and play strategy games like GO. I also like to travel; I really enjoy exploring new places and making friends with people all around the world.
