Tyler Ramsey

I attended the University of Oklahoma and pursued a degree in Journalism. While attending school full time I worked a full time job at Dillard's. I honed in on effective communication skills during my studies, even taking business communication as an elective. After classes. I would work at Dillard's, where I started as a stockman until working up to Men's Sales Associate. I learned to be a good listener when assisting customers when shopping and help them meet their needs. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma I began my career at Hobby Lobby. My first role at the company was as a Merchandiser in the Layout Room. Learned to manage my time efficiently and juggle multiple projects while keeping deadlines. I was promoted to Team Leader in 2021 and was able to oversee a team of Merchandisers. This allowed me to learn to delegate as well as build report with a larger number of Buyers within Hobby Lobby. I was promoted to Buyer in May of 2022. I have the privilege to represent the company and work with vendors all over the world. my duties include procurement of new items for Hobby Lobby's product lines as well as inventory control for reorderable items in our warehouse.
