With over 8 years of dedicated experience, Singeh Helen Jokem is a seasoned expert in the fields of Gender, Gender Based violence (GBV), and Project Management. She has a robust background in developing and implementing comprehensive programs and/or projects aimed at promoting child protection, gender equality and preventing GBV across diverse settings, including humanitarian crises and/or emergencies, urban environments, and rural communities. She is a holder of a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Gender and Development from the University of Yaoundé I, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Women’s Studies with Sociology and Anthropology (double major) from the University of Buea, Cameroon. Helen is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to work cooperatively with others to resolve difficulties and achieve results. She is an independent, enterprising, calm and friendly person with an extreme passion for her tasks and activities and she values teamwork, integrity and loyalty. She has a keen interest in empowering girls, women and youth while advocating for equal chances and opportunities for both men and women. In line with this, she founded an association The Hope Center Cameroon, aimed at curbing Gender Based Violence specifically Intimate Partner Violence, empowering young people on their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in order for them to make informed choices and better decisions and encouraging girl child education in rural communities by supporting girls with menstrual hygiene kits to enable them stay in school during menstruation.
