What's the difference between making a commitment to provide truly customer-centered products and experiences and consistently delivering them? It's as simple as looking into a mirror. The reality of sustaining any commitment of this nature is that it's not a single choice you make. Rather, the myriad of daily decisions that follow that commitment is where it will either be proven or fall short. As we confront curveballs and unexpected challenges every day, I see each one through a single lens: Does this choice reflect our commitment to our customers, or does it undermine our stated values? It's my job to hold up that mirror each day and make sure iRobot is continuously innovating, improving, and moving closer to our customers. I focus on this commitment because it is the foundation of our business model — if we get this right, I know we will continue to succeed in defining and redefining the consumer robotics marketplace. Putting consumers first has been a priority throughout my career. And over the past 25 years, while I've worked for major brands such as Sony and iRobot, I've succeeded in delivering new products and experiences that make a difference and are important to consumers. I'm proud to be both a leader in consumer technologies and a mom, and outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and attending my kids' sporting events. Accordingly, I work hard to build a balanced, family-friendly culture within my team so they can continue to grow and evolve both inside and outside of work.
