Currently serve as the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, an operation with $77+ million in annual revenues in 2023 and net assets in excess of $182+ million. The Indiana State Fairgrounds maintains over 1,000,000 sq/ft of indoor event space on 250 acres, hosting over 400 events annually, including the State of Indiana's largest multi-day event, the Indiana State Fair. Responsibilities include oversight of all finance & accounting, treasury, financial planning & analysis, purchasing & procurement, enterprise risk management, legal affairs, tax, business optimization & strategy and cyber security controls. Prior to this, spent over a decade at the headquarters of college sports, the National Collegiate Athletic Association. While at the NCAA, served in a variety of operational, compliance and finance roles, all primarily in the creation of new departments or areas for the organization. This culminated with serving as Business Unit Fiscal Officer for the NCAA's 90 championships. The role included providing strategic financial guidance to NCAA Senior Management on host site agreements, broadcast agreements, budget management and revenue generation. Partnered with Senior Leadership to manage an annual revenue budget of over $1 billion and operating expenses of over $200 million.
