Joshua Hoti's Summary

Recent graduate of Biological Sciences at the University of Birmingham. I'm really keen to expand my network, gain insight to many potential roads that my degree could take me down and am open to any and all kinds of relevant work experience between now and after graduation. It has always been my intention to go on to further study once completing my degree, but for now I'm more focussed on the immediate future and I am eager to just get out there and learn and experience the world instead of blindly jumping into things. Outside of Academia, I was part of the University's Doctor Who Society and was on the committee as the Social Secretary, a role I held for two years. I was also a student ambassador for the College of Life and Environmental sciences within UoB and I took great joy in showing prospective students and applicants exactly what the university has to offer, what the course will be like and to guide them as they make their difficult (and exciting) journey through the end of their A-levels and the start of their undergraduate lives. I've also started a Tumblr page to begin writing small articles based off of some of the topics that come up throughout the course, with the intention of both gaining easy experience with publishing articles online and also to discuss scientific fact in a way that the general public can understand and in a way that doesn't unintentionally bend the truth or create Fake News.
