I trained with KPMG in England where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant. I have 20 years experience in businesses of all sizes across a wide range of business sectors. For the last 10 years I have primarily been employed as an independent consultant working at Executive and Director level. In 2014 I started taking my own advice and created a New Zealand based online marketplace for sustainable, healthy and ethical products - Green Elephant. We launched in November 2015 and have achieved so much to date. Whilst this is a full time commitment I still do the odd short consultancy assignment on the side! My experience has included financial and management accounting, auditing, corporate recovery and business consulting. My most recent roles have been commercially focussed on adding value to the business by way of extensive business modelling, solving existing problem areas, identifying unknown risks and issues, efficient cost control, exploring strategic growth opportunities and winning new contracts. I am IT literate and experienced on a wide range of systems/software including SAP, Oracle, Excel, Access, Adaytum, bespoke work management tools, etc. I am an organised and adaptable individual that thrives working under pressure within tight deadlines.
