Leta Greene's Summary
I believe in honoring the role of women to be beautiful, powerful and happy. This is not in competition with men, as women we have our own strengths that need to be honored first by ourselves.
Our online world has been training us to seek validation in the form of likes, comments and money. We are told that we are success if we have the visual signs of success. We need to ask ourselves are we caught up in the pursuit of more simply for the sake of more or are we creating lasting impact with our connection and business growth. Selling may get you a customer but a relationship gets you a connection, the transference of money doesn’t not equal a connection. Service, kindness with truth and seeing each person as a valuable simply for being them.
My professional career started as 2.5 yrs old working for my Dad’s mobile home moving company. Mom and Dad drove the trucks, we kids were the set-up crew. Every one of us five kids were instilled with a deep sense of gratitude for the ability to work and the boys were told to get a trade and we girls were told to marry well. I have a brother who is a master carpenter, another who is a machinist, and another who is an electrician. I must have gotten both messages because not only did I marry a college graduate I also got a trade as a make-up artist.
Though makeup has been a stream of income for me since Junior High, helping my peers look their best, back then I got paid in extra lunch items. My peers trying to catch guys attention I was more worried about food security.
That part of my career grew to being a beauty educator in cosmetology schools and being an International Trainer for SeneGence International. I have chosen to no longer travel teaching beauty, as I prefer to teach my own content developed over the years of being up close with women’s insecurities on how they look and perceive themselves. My content I call the Hotness, referring to the innate spark we each have and how we show up in not only our appearance, mindset and attitude but who we create lives that are truly gratifying and in line with our ultimate trajectory in life.
My first book is called "How To Embrace Your Inner Hotness" teaching 15 steps to liking you, seeing your beauty and negating the things that we women worry about. In my second book "Love, Me Too" the tools to overcoming sexual abuse and finding a happy and full-filling life. Get your copies at http://letagreene.com/book I am currently working on my third book on living joyfully after grief. My three TEDx talks accompany my first books different mission and purpose.
