I've delivered high value IT / Web & Technology transformational change projects (Using full spectrum Agile) in the Finance/Banking, Entertainment & Media, Healthcare, Software & Telecom sectors over the last 20 years. I've been responsible for companies gaining industry accreditation & awards, reduced companies annual IT spend, & rationalised and streamlined process & teams to aid business' do what they do better & smarter, whilst saving running costs, using Six-Sigma, LEAN, SAFe, Agile, Operating model redesign, & IT4IT. I've delivered projects end-to-end for clients you'll have heard of, & I've also held roles at Fortune 500's in both Europe & the US. I have a real passion for Cloud & Internet technology along with IT strategy delivery so entering a business at high-level & improving efficiency through process analysis & streamlining is one of the things I do best. I believe I'm somewhat unique though in that I can 'do' the technical bits practically too. Talk about networks but build them also, talk about social but leverage communities, talk about Devops but actually write software etc - its something I'm proud of. I'm also trusted at C-level, advising boards with everything from HR to technology compliance matters. I've built this trust through working from the ground up, starting my career as a SysAdmin & being in the trenches doing the do, from building networks, supporting users & managing large IT estates. I'm not one for using 700 words when 3 will do - and I call people out on business Jargon! I am direct, & very open about my own shortcomings, failures, those failures in fact which have put me where I am today, along with being fortunate to work with some awesome people. Hands-on, I lead by example, ethically and openly. I enjoy helping others succeed, and leading from the front taking full accountability for the things I say & do. I'm keen to keep coal-face technical fluency too. I have working knowledge & implementation skills across a range of computer languages & the SDLC inc. DevOps workflow (CI/CD) which I also coach on as part of Agile I had four years in 'Digital Agency land' so I know a thing or two about Digital Advertising & Marketing too! I teach coding to 7-11 year olds as part of the Government initiated Code Club scheme. I also consult for the RAFAC. I write in online and printed publications, speak publicly & try to stay abreast of everything that's happening in the world of Technology. I run a blog, two podcasts. a YouTube channel & I'm a trusted technology and process adviser for several companies in the UK.
