Michael Charles

With a successful career of over 20 years in the data science field, I decided to embrace what I have always loved: floor plans, furniture showrooms and beautiful design. After graduating from the New York Institute of Art+Design in 2022, I embarked on this new adventure and created Michael Intérieurs. Funny enough, the process to design a statistical analysis or develop a machine learning model is quite creative and is actually pretty similar to any designing framework and in particular interior design. There are also similarities between choosing a color scheme for graphs or data visualization and for a room or a home! Moreover, my corporate experiences has helped me develop organizational, communication and coaching skills that are critical to my new business endeavor! Originally from France – hence intérieur with a French “accent aigu” – I have been living in 8 different countries since my childhood and visited many more on vacation or business trips across the five continents. Since 2018, I have settled in New York state. Those extensive travels and the rich encounters have developed my sensitivity for and love of the beauty and diversity of arts, crafts, architecture and food found around the world and across cultures.
