I'm an experienced regulatory affairs manager with solid knowledge of European regulation on chemicals and food contact materials, along with the main international regulations around chemical inventories, classification and labelling and food contact, focusing on the industry of chemical formulations. I gained experience as a team leader of international and multicultural teams, building good personal and professional relationships within the company and with external stakeholders, like customers, suppliers and Trade Associations. I feel privileged because of the personal enrichment which this opportunity and experience gives me. I find intellectually stimulating and challenging the effort to keep up with the regulatory evolution and its technical and political trends, and the continuous activity to distill this variety of information in simpler and useful concepts aimed to orient the R&D activities but also the business development. To this activity belongs also the estimation of timing and costs for notifications or registrations processes, which influence the time to market of new products. I strongly believe in the need to increasingly and efficiently use IT solutions to support regulatory activities, not just to digitalize the existing complex obligations, but also to handle increasingly big datasets to extract intelligence able to support an evidence-based decision process around the lifecycle of products. Since I’m a very curious person, I’m always open to new areas of improvement and continuous learning, new job projects, work environments and cultures. Learning languages is fun for me, I’m fluent in English, German and Italian, and a beginner in Spanish. I consider languages not just a mere tool to communicate, instead I believe it’s the best way I know to learn (and live) a new mindset and understand how other people and cultures think.
