I am the CEO of Jeff Vehicles Ltd which develops electric and hydrogen road and rail vehicles. It carries out innovation consultancy work in railways, electric cars, hydrogen trains and energy systems. I hold the title of Honorary Professor of Railway Power and Traction Systems at the University of Birmingham. Previously supporting Porterbrook, Vanguard and University of Birmingham on electrical, electronic and software systems for the first and second hydrogen trains in the UK - HydroFLEX. HydroFLEX 2 was displayed at Glasgow station during COP26. Now working on my third hydrogen rail vehicle - Hydroshunter with Vanguard. I have nearly 50 years experience in the railway industry. I won the Brighton national speed trials electric car class in 2014 and 2016. In 2017 my son and I gained our second Guinness World Record. Both are for shortest charging time in an electric vehicle. In 2015, My son and I set new records for an electric car - Lands End to John o'Groats 19 hours 46 minutes, John O'Groats to Lands End 18 hours 53 minutes with a charging time of 3 hours 34 minutes. In 2017 we drove 4000 miles across Europe for our second Guinness World Record. I have written a free book “Electric Cars, Vans and Bikes” which includes a chapter on hydrogen cars.
